For this scheme, the widows visiting ART centres are being screened on daily basis by Care Coordinators & Project Parivartan Volunteers. Documents submitted by the eligible widows are verified by ART counsellors. These verified applications ensuring 95% treatment adherence among the widows are submitted by ART Medical Officers. After reviewing the applications by Mainstreaming division, Project Director, MDACS approves direct transfer of benefit to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
The scheme has been functional since Sept. 2019 & in the first month, 127 widows have received the financial benefit. The monthly financial assistance is expected to improve treatment adherence and nutritional status among the beneficiaries, enhancing their quality of life.
